I look forward to checking out this spot at McKees - lemme know if you go - when it's reasonably warm. I don't mind cold water, but air temps of 40+ are my cutoff. Regarding the Narrows spots - You're probably doing just fine - I think these spots just don't have a lot to offer. Good enough for a desperate local to wet the gills, but not much more. The Machine is the one exception - It's really fun. 5.7 is ideal level in my opinion.

: Well the level was 4.09 when we were there. The eddy behind the second seam was very small, maybe 2 boats wide and 3 boats long. We are just learning and our charc is not so clean or even consistent but in my opinion a few inches lower and the better bet is Mckees we pulled better rides there than at the narrows at the lower levels. But that being said I may have just been not doing something right.
