Do people ever cut boats to add volume back into them? Any reasons this is recommended against? Just trying to increase my boat options and am competent with fiberglass but not terribly familiar with squirt boat mods.

Yes, people cut boats to add volume. My understanding is that a shim is added to bump up the volume a tad.

Thanks for the reply. I could not see a reason why it would not work but just wanted to make sure I was not missing something.
