There are a couple different levels of involvement when you are repairing boat damage. The level of involvement will depend on the level of the damage.

There are some degrees of damage that only warrant what I call a "parking lot patch" these are small problems that can be at least temporarily corrected with some simple materials even a few minutes before putting on the water.
